The company FarmaLab Omega ZETA S.L and the ICN2 Supramolecular Nanochemistry and Materials group, led by ICREA Prof. Daniel Maspoch, signed a collaboration agreement.

FarmaLab Omega Zeta is a holding company specialized in technology for many different applications, including materials, regenerative medicine, nutraceuticals, research and medical dissemination, among others. Since January 2020, the company collaborates with Prof. Daniel Maspoch, head of the Supramolecular Nanochemistry and Materials group (NANOUP) at the Institut Català de Nanociència i Nanotecnologia (ICN2), to develop the stabilization and micro encapsulation of bio-active natural ingredients to be applied in novel foods product lines.

Senior researcher Dr. Mary Cano (project coordinator) and Dr. Sonia García, both experts in the development of encapsulated systems for biomedicine and industrial applications, will contribute to this project.
