  • NANOUP Group’s main interest is the development of novel synthetic methodologies and using these methods to fabricate nanoscale supramolecular (e.g. hybrid metal-organic) materials with controlled/designed forms (particles, tubes, rods, fibers, crystals, and thin-films), size, composition, and physical and biological properties (including luminescence, porosity, biocompatibility, recognition, magnetism, etc.) for applications in nanomedicine & biotechnology, catalysis, storage, encapsulation and sensing.

  • With the advent of high-resolution tip-based lithographic techniques such as dip-pen nanolithography (DPN), NANOUP Group is deeply involved on developing novel methodologies for controlling the positioning, growth and orientation of supramolecular nanostructures on surfaces. This level of control is crucial to start to conceive the integration of supramolecular architectures on supports for studying their fundamental properties and fabricating novel surface sensors, separation membranes, drug-delivery platforms and catalysts.

  • NANOUP Group offers all our expertise in micro- and nanoencapsulation technologies (e.g. liposomes, organic polymerizations, coacervations, sol-gel, etc.) in order to advise private companies and other research institutions to develop novel encapsulation-related products. Our service involves helping design new products, developing precise technological processes for their fabrication (including their characterization, coatings, final formulations, etc.) in our labs, and implementing (scale up) all developed encapsulation technologies for their large-scale fabrication.
